Live Heat Press Experience
On-Site Custom Apparel & Accessories in the Inland Empire, LA & OC
Hivequarter's live heat press experience is also known as a live patch bar, live hat bar, or live merch station, depending on what you're pressing and how you want it presented at your event. Whatever you call it, the setup is the same: real-time, on-site customization your guests get to take part in.
What Is a Live Heat Press Experience?
A live heat press is an interactive, on-site activation where custom apparel and accessories are pressed in real time for guests. Using pre-made Direct-to-Film (DTF) transfers or embroidered patches, our operators personalize items on the spot in just a few seconds each. It's a fixture at weddings, corporate activations, brand activations, and festivals across Southern California, and it works as a standalone experience or alongside other Hivequarter services like our photo booth rentals and vintage newspaper stand rental.

How Our Live Heat Press Experience Works
-

Select a Blank Item
We’ll work with you to choose the perfect item(s) for your guests, from totes, pouches, canvas wristlets, hats, or apparel.
-

Tell Us the Vibe
We’ll bring a curated selection of DTF transfers or embroidered patches, based on your event's branding or from a broader design standpoint.
-

Press On-Site
Your guests position the transfers or patches. We apply the perfect heat and pressure with a professional-grade heat press, right there.
-

Peel & Wear
We reveal the final product in seconds, and guests walk away with a retail-ready, permanently bonded custom piece. No mess, no wait.
-
A popular choice for wedding favors and corporate swag, totes and pouches take DTF transfers and patches cleanly and hold up to daily use.
-
A smaller-format option that works well for quinceañeras and brand activations looking for a more compact, giftable item.
-
Shirts, hoodies, jackets, and hats all press well. This is where our live hat bar setup comes in, a dedicated station just for custom hat pressing at corporate events and festivals.
-
DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers are full-color, pressed directly onto the item for a smooth, printed look; ideal for detailed logos and multi-color designs.
Embroidered patches are pre-stitched and heat-applied for a textured, higher-end finish; a strong fit for our live patch bar setups at corporate and brand events.
We help you choose the right format based on your item, design, and budget.
What We Press
Trusted by Leading Brands
Perfect for Every Event Type
Weddings: Custom-pressed totes or wristlets make a standout, functional favor guests actually use again.
Corporate Events & Brand Activations: A live patch bar or hat bar puts your logo directly in attendees' hands (and on their heads) while reinforcing brand recall long after the event ends.
Festivals & Large-Scale Activations: High guest volume, high visibility. A live merch station keeps lines moving while turning foot traffic into branded impressions.
Event Requirements & Logistics
-
Space Needed
Most live heat press setups fit in a compact 8×8 footprint per station, easy to work into any event layout.
-
Power Requirements
Standard 110v power outlet access is required. For higher-volume events, we recommend a dedicated 20-amp circuit to avoid tripped breakers.
-
Setup/Strike Time
Setup is quick at about an hour for one station. Breakdown is easy and quick, taking about 30-45 minutes.
-
Output Speed
Our attendants average roughly 50 custom-pressed items per hour per station. For larger guest counts, we can scale up with more stations.
Live Heat Press Pricing
Live heat press pricing depends on the item type (totes, apparel, hats, wristlets), DTF vs. embroidered patch selection, guest count, and event length.
Because every event's item mix and volume looks different, we build pricing around your specific setup rather than a flat rate.
